Learn to build a budget-friendly, home crafted armature and complete a life-sized human or animal bust. The workshop begins by making a cement-based armature. While the armature sets, attendees learn how to create facial features. The artist instructor will guide step-by-step how to create a bust, remove the armature, hollow the sculpture & prevent explosions while firing. Students will take home a stoneware clay bust to fire after it has had a chance to dry sufficiently. Students are encouraged to create imaginary human-type sculptures, as well as realistic humans.
