The glistening Ovation-10 will inspire you to make glass. It is rugged, reliable, and designed to last. Enjoy fusing, slumping, pate de verre, and painting in this large production kiln. If you have been firing a smaller kiln, you will be amazed at the space inside the Ovation-10. Fire several large projects such as bowls or platters in one load.
Dual spring-assisted lid supports transfer the weight of the lid to a massive hinge assembly on the back of the kiln. This reduces the stress on the kiln wall to give your kiln the long life that Paragon kilns are famous for. The Ovation-10 lid elements use an element groove that eliminates element pins. The element coils are wider than the groove opening, so the elements stay in place without pins. The sidewall element coils are protected in dropped, recessed grooves. You will be amazed at the convenience of digital firing. The reliable solid-state Sentry controller continually monitors the firing so you can spend your time productively without closely watching the kiln. (Please remember, however, to check the kiln during firing and to monitor it near the expected shutoff time.) The sealed touch pad keeps out dust and is easy to wipe clean.

paragon Kiln Janus Ovation

The Paragon Janus Ovation kiln can fire both pottery and glass. Heating elements are mounted in the top and sidewalls.
Select between glass and pottery with the flip of a switch. With the switch in the glass position, heat comes from the top elements and the middle sidewall element. With the switch in the pottery position, heat comes from only the sidewall elements. In the glass mode, fuse and sag large glass projects placed on a single shelf. In the pottery mode, fire to cone 10. You can also fire several shelves of smaller glass pieces in pottery mode. Patented dual spring-assisted lid supports transfer the weight of the lid to a massive hinge assembly on the back of the kiln. This reduces the stress on the kiln wall to give your kiln the long life that Paragon kilns are famous for. The patented control box on the Janus Ovation opens forward for easy maintenance. A folding support arm holds the box in the open position. The digital Sentry 2.0 includes two modes: Cone-Fire with programmed slow cooling and 18-Segment Ramp-Hold. It is manufactured by the Orton Ceramic Foundation exclusively for Paragon.

The Ovation-1013 will inspire you to create glass. It is rugged, reliable, designed to last. When you need speed, you can rapidly fire production loads of glass. Enjoy fusing, slumping, pate de verre, and painting in this large production kiln. Imagine making large screen prints on glass. Fire quantities of glass decals, create large paintings with frit and stringers, experiment with recycled glass. You might even try glass weaving. Dual spring-assisted lid springs transfer the weight of the lid to a massive hinge assembly on the back of the kiln. This reduces the stress on the kiln wall to give your kiln the long life that Paragon kilns are famous for. The patented spring counter-balance, called the LiteLid, adjusts the hinge to compensate for expansion  during firing.
The Ovation-1013 lid elements use an element groove that eliminates element pins. The element coils are wider than the groove opening, so the elements stay in place without pins. The sidewall element coils are protected in dropped, recessed grooves.
The Ovation-1013 has two mechanical relays for long life. (The relays turn on the heating elements after receiving a signal from the digital controller.) The two relays last longer than the single relay of competitive kilns, because less amperage goes through each relay.
The Ovation-1013 comes with two massive, heavy 18” tall stands at no extra charge. They raise the kiln to a comfortable height for loading and operation. They include mar-proof plastic feet.
